How it works

Working Principle

The PCH/PCS crusher's mainshaft is fixed to the frame; an eccentric gyrates the crushing head around it. Material is compressed between mantle and concave as it travels down the chamber. The single hydraulic cylinder below the mainshaft supports the crushing load, sets the CSS precisely, dips to pass tramp iron, and can stroke the shaft up and down to clear a packed chamber — all functions of one robust hydraulic circuit.

PCS models have larger feed openings for secondary duty; PCH models are optimized for tertiary/fine crushing. Many plants pair a PCS secondary with PCH tertiary machines.
What is the largest capacity available?
The PCH870 reaches 2,100 t/h in coarse secondary duty. Contact us with your feed gradation for an exact capacity curve.
How does overload protection work?
The hydraulic accumulator lets the mainshaft drop when tramp iron or overload occurs, then returns automatically — the spring system adds fail-safe protection.
How often do liners need changing?
Liner life depends on abrasiveness; with automatic setting regulation the chamber stays efficient until liners are fully worn, typically measured in months of operation.
Is the crusher delivered with the hydraulic unit?
Yes — each PCH/PCS ships complete with its NORDVIK PHG lubrication/hydraulic unit and electric control cabinet, ready for installation.
