NORDVIK PHG Series Lubrication Unit

NORDVIK PHG Series Lubrication Unit

Serviceable, reliable lubrication for cone and gyratory crushers

The NORDVIK PHG series lubrication unit was designed by listening to crusher operators: every component is easily accessed, the tank sits on a frame at optimal working height, and servicing is faster and cleaner. Sixteen standard models match Sandvik CH/CS and Metso GP cone crushers from 90 to 750 kW, with main lubrication flows of 36 – 260 L/min plus integrated hydroset flow.

Matching the lubrication and hydroset requirements of the corresponding crusher models.

How it works

Working Principle

The PHG unit circulates filtered oil through the crusher's main lubrication circuit and supplies the hydroset circuit that positions the mainshaft. A constant-flow valve diverts a small part of the main flow to the pinion housing — eliminating the separate pinion pump of older designs. An air filter on the tank handles oil-level changes, since the crusher's air overpressure is no longer connected to the tank, and sensors watch level, flow and filter condition continuously.

Applications

Applications

Cone crusher lubrication

Main lubrication and hydroset supply for CH/CS and GP class cone crushers.

Lube system replacement

Drop-in replacement of aging original tank units with better service access.

Crusher upgrades

Modernizing older crushers with instrumented, filtered and monitored lubrication.

Materials

Circulating lubricating oils of the viscosity grade specified for each crusher model and climate.

Customer-Driven Design Improvements

Replacement Compatibility

PHG units replace the lubrication and hydroset tank units of Sandvik CH/CS series and Metso GP series cone crushers — see the parameter table for model-by-model matching (HG-CH420 … HG-GP550).

Other crusher ranges — Metso G / HP / MP / MX, Omnicone, Telsmith Gyrasphere, Sandvik Hydrocone and Superior, gyratory crushers 42-65 to 60-110 and jaw crushers — are supported on request. Send your crusher model and we confirm the matching unit.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which crushers does the PHG series fit?
Standard models match Sandvik CH420 – CH895, CS420 – CS660 and Metso GP200 – GP550 cone crushers per the parameter table. Other ranges are supported on request.
Can the unit stand against a wall?
Yes — there are no connections on the right side of the tank, so the PHG can be placed directly beside a wall, saving floor space.
How do I know when to change filter elements?
A pressure sensor with a visual indicator on the unit shows exactly when the filter needs changing — no guessing, no unnecessary changes.
How is low oil level handled?
Level switches on both the hydroset and lubrication tanks warn the operator before damage can occur, and can interlock with the crusher control.
What is different from older tank units?
Frame mounting at working height, spill tray, see-through inspection window, air filter for level changes, constant-flow pinion lubrication and full instrumentation — all from customer feedback.
